Bakhuisie is an idea we’re building in South Africa: a social bakery creating meaningful work opportunities for people with Down syndrome.

We want to start small, making a handful of exceptional baked products and supplying them to local coffee shops, cafés and other places in the community.

Our ambition is to grow Bakhuisie into a sustainable bakery that can train and employ more people with Down syndrome.
